Rooster Fighter (2026) is the anime adaptation of the viral manga about a super-strong rooster who hunts down giant monsters. It’s a 12-episode series produced by Sanzigen (the studio behind BanG Dream!) and Sola Entertainment. The story follows Keiji, a wandering rooster with a scarred past who travels across Japan to kill “Mutant Demons” that are terrorizing humans.
The show is basically a parody of serious action anime like One-Punch Man or JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Keiji uses a super-powered crowing attack called “Kokekokko” to literally blow up monsters that are ten stories tall. He’s joined by a small chick named Piyoko and a rival hen named Elizabeth, who can shoot electricity. Even though the premise is ridiculous, the action scenes are handled very seriously, which is where the humor comes from.
