Shizuku Kanzaki is the only son of the famous wine critic Yutaka Kanzaki. From a young age, Shizuku received a special education from his father, all in the name of wine. From learning how to elegantly decant wine to precisely remembering the smell of leather belts and pencils, this training has instilled in him a deep hatred for all things wine. Dissatisfied with his father, he leaves home to become a regular bartender, refusing to touch wine again.
When his father suddenly dies, Shizuku is drawn back into the world he hates. According to his father’s will, whoever can find the “Twelve Apostles” of wine, as well as the legendary “Drops of God”, will inherit his prized wine collection and estate. In order to inherit the fortune, Shizuku has one year to complete the task, but the suggestion seems funny to him, since he is Yutaka’s only living relative.

Issei is a famous and established wine critic who is competing against Shizuku for the inheritance. With no formal training in wine tasting, Shizuku has no chance against the “Prince of Wine” and risks losing everything in this competition.
