Lupin the IIIrd the Movie: The Immortal Bloodline

Lupin the IIIrd: The Immortal Bloodline is the final chapter in the gritty “Takeshi Koike” saga of Lupin III. It’s a feature-length movie that serves as the conclusion to the darker, more violent series of specials like Jigen’s Gravestone and Fujiko’s Lie. The story follows Lupin and his crew after they are lured to a mysterious, uncharted island in the Bermuda Triangle.

Once they arrive, their plane is shot down, and they are hunted by an immortal being named Muom. The island is covered in a toxic fog that will kill them in 24 hours, so the group has to split up to survive. It’s a much darker take than the usual Lupin adventures, focusing on “sci-fi horror” elements and a massive showdown between Lupin and the “immortal” ruler of the island.
