The story is a "near-future" take on the Three Kingdoms era. Japan has basically collapsed due to a mix of nuclear war and corrupt politics, splitting into three separate nations fighting for control. We follow Aoteru Misumi, a former low-level bureaucrat who loses everything and decides to reunify the country. He isn't a fighter, though—he uses "eloquence" and strategy as his main weapons. It’s a very smart, dialogue-heavy political thriller that feels fresh compared to the usual action shonen.
